Embed a server status badge
Use a script-free SVG badge for a registered public target. The image is cacheable for a bounded minute and includes an accessible title and description.
Embed a badge
<a href="https://minecraftstatus.com/server/play.example.net" rel="nofollow">
<img
src="https://minecraftstatus.com/api/v1/badges/00000000-0000-5000-8000-000000000041.svg"
width="220"
height="28"
alt="Play example server status by MinecraftStatus.com"
/>
</a>The target ID is a stable UUID from the public registration record. The badge endpoint does not accept an arbitrary hostname, return caller-supplied SVG, execute JavaScript or act as a live probe on the request path.
Cache and attribution
Successful badges use public, max-age=60, s-maxage=60 and an ETag. Send If-None-Match on refresh. The badge is a status presentation, not a guarantee of uptime or a compatibility claim.
Contract boundary
Keep the visible “Status by MinecraftStatus.com” attribution in the link or surrounding text. Use rel="nofollow" when you do not want the credit link to be treated as an editorial endorsement.
